Police Exhume Corpse Of Commercial Tricyclist, Arrest Killer In Anambra

 The body of a 25-year-old tricycle (Keke) operator who was kidnapped along with his Keke and killed by his abductors in Nnando in Anambra East Local Council Area of Anambra State has been exhumed from a shallow grave while his keke was recovered in Ebonyi State.
The Keke operator, Dumebi Oforkansi of Ubarunisionye village, Nando  in Anambra East was kidnapped by unknown persons and taken away along with his keke which he used for commercial purposes on October 2,2019.
During investigation, police operatives attached to the Command State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) arrested one Mr. Chizoba Nwoye aged 29 years of Achalla-agu village Nteje in Oyi Local Council Area of Anambra State.
He confessed that he and one other Ezennia Nweke, alias ‘Abada’ aged about 25- years of Achalla-Agu allegedly conspired and killed Oforkansi, buried the corpse inside the bush along Achalla-agu Nando Road and took his keke.
It was gathered that he took the investigation team to the scene where Oforkansi was buried in a shallow grave and his decomposing body was exhumed and was identified by his parents through the clothes he wore.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Haruna who confirmed the story said the body was also certified by a medical doctor in the presence of the deceased parents.
He said that Oforkansi’s snatched keke was recovered at Ebonyi State from one Anthony Charles, aka ‘Walter’ aged 27 years.
He was promptly arrested.
But Mohammed said that the principal suspect, Ezennia Nweke alias ‘Abada’ who allegedly conspired with Chizoba Nwoye to perpetrate the dastardly act was still on the run and the police have declared him wanted.
